Dr Gene Sherman AM is Chairman and Executive Director of Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF). She is currently on the Board of the National Portrait Gallery, the Commissioner’s Council for the Australian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, the Art & Australia Advisory Board and the Australia-Israel Cultural Exchange (AICE). Gene was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government (2003) and a Doctorate of Letters honoris causa by The University of Sydney (2008).

Margaret Throsby is one of Australia’s most broadranging, popular and admired broadcasters. She currently presents the national Morning program on ABC Classic FM. Accolades for her achievements include: Member of the Order of Australia (for Services to Broadcasting, 1989), Variety Club of Australia’s Radio Award, Two Avion Awards for the ‘Best in the World’ in-flight audio programs (Qantas), Golden Gavel Award presented by the Law Society of NSW for Excellence in Legal Reporting, Children’s Week Award Media Award, Rostrum Speaker of the Year.

Kazuyo Sejima studied architecture at the Japan Women’s University before going on to work for the celebrated architect Toyo Ito. In 1995 she formed SANAA with Ryue Nishizawa. SANAA has achieved international acclaim with projects in Asia, Europe and the US. Recent examples include the Louvre Annex, Lens, France; the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Japan;  the SerpentineGallery Pavilion, London, UK; and the Inujima Art Project, Seto Inland Sea, Japan.

Yuko Hasegawa is Chief Curator, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, and a professor of the Department of Art Science, Tama Art University, Tokyo. Yuko was the Founding Artistic Director of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and worked closely with SANAA in commissioning the museum’s cutting edge contemporary space. Yuko is the Artistic Director of  the Inujima Art Project.
