Mobile photography: advanced

Elevate your photo-taking and editing skills to new heights with photographer Markus Andersen. This workshop will build upon your existing knowledge of shooting and editing photos. Markus will focus on light, colour and composition, and introduce advanced, creative phone apps used for picture-taking and post-production. Participants will then test out these new skills while exploring the streets of Paddington.

A list of apps (both free and paid) will be supplied upon booking. These must be downloaded at the participant’s cost prior to the workshop.

Markus headshot

Markus Andersen studied photography at the Sydney Institute of TAFE. His art practice encompasses documentary and street photography, and conceptual bodies of work using all forms of analogue and digital methods. Andersen has held solo and collaborative exhibitions in New York, Paris, Toronto, Istanbul, Sydney and the United Kingdom and his work is represented in numerous private and institutional collections.

In 2015, Andersen was the subject of a documentary entitled “Into the Belly of the Beast” by noted director Rob Norton. In late 2015 / early 2016 Andersen’s first book “Rage Against The Light” was released through T&G Publishing.
