The conversation will be preceded by a special screening of the documentary The September Issue featuring Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The screening will commence at 1pm and runs for approximately 90 minutes. Free, no bookings required.
Claudia Chan Shaw is a fashion designer and director for the internationally acclaimed Australian fashion label, Vivian Chan Shaw. A design graduate of Sydney College of the Arts, she is an author, artist, public speaker, collector, and contributes to design and collecting publications. Her newly released book Collectomania is a celebration of the world of collectors and their magnificent obsessions. Claudia has been seen on Australian screens as co-host and presenter on ABC TV’s popular program, Collectors. Copies of Collectomania will be available for sale and signing.
Alistair Trung is a Vietnamese / Australian designer, and a fashion and textile graduate of the University of Technology, Sydney. A self described “cloth addict”, Trung seeks intelligent solutions based on architectural cuts and an exploration of form, space and movement that liberates the body. Alistair Trung has four independent boutiques in Sydney and Melbourne. International and national stockists have included Lane Crawford Hong Kong, Browns of London, Eastern Market, Christine’s and Cose Ipanema.
Caroline Baum is a respected journalist and broadcaster who has worked for Vogue in the UK and as Features Editor of Vogue Australia. Caroline has also designed her own range of textiles including a collection for
Designer Rugs. She appears at writers festivals across Australia and overseas and writes for national magazines, newspapers and online arts websites. Caroline is also the Editorial Director at Booktopia, Australia’s biggest online bookseller.

Feel & Think is a SCAF initiative exhibited over two sites: the NAS Gallery hosts art installations by the five brands and SCAF is home to a fashion film festival, pop-up shop, Culture+Ideas discussion series and runway show presented in partnership with the University of Technology, Sydney.
