Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in association with the National Art School Gallery presents the Australian iteration of Feel & Think: A New Era of Tokyo Fashion, an exhibition originally conceived of and shown at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery in 2011. Working with Bunka Fashion Research Institute and Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, SCAF has selected five creative and original design brands who are recognised for their independent stance and their curiosity vis-à-vis various aspects of contemporary culture and diverse interest in art, design, music and other cultural pursuits outside of fashion.

Brands include:

ANREALAGE

mintdesigns

SASQUATCHfabrix

Each of these fashion brands has adopted their own local aesthetic and possesses a
universal quality imparting inspiration to young designers worldwide. These five brands
will create extraordinary site-specific installations, transforming the gallery spaces and
giving Australia’s vibrant and active design community a rare opportunity, over three
months, to view the work of this new generation of designers.

Feel & Think will be shown at the National Art School Gallery, Sydney and SCAF will host a series of satellite events.  Click here for the schedule of events.
